\nexamining frameworks, such as the Information Technology Rules, to identify the gaps and<\/em>
\ndifficulties in data privacy and protection. Following that, it delves into the newly<\/em>
\nenacted law, emphasizing its importance in constructing a sound legal framework with its<\/em>
\npoints of primary focus encompassing explicit consent, technological safeguards, and the<\/em>
\nestablishment of the Data Protection Authority of India (DPAI). It then moves on to India’s<\/em>
\nglobal position and importance, assessing its compliance with international regulations and<\/em>
\nits potential for leadership in establishing global data protection standards that<\/em>
\nimpact international activities, investment and their collaborations with India. It emphasizes<\/em>
\nthe critical need for an effective data privacy policy in creating trust and encapsulates the<\/em>
