Jindal Global University<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>ABSTRACT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Human rights are basic rights that are designated to every human being since their birth. Every human<\/em><br \/>\n<em>being deserves dignity, respect, and equal rights anything that obstructs these common rights is said<\/em><br \/>\n<em>to violate human rights. Concerning this, the LGBTQIA+ community has been a target of various<\/em><br \/>\n<em>challenges ranging from discrimination, and abuse to social exclusion and torture. Many countries<\/em><br \/>\n<em>have finally started giving thought to the rights of this community and providing them with equal rights<\/em><br \/>\n<em>and protection. Homosexuality in India was criminalized under section 377 of the Indian Penal<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Code,1860 during the colonial era which made gay sex punishable for 10 years, it was said to be<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u201cagainst the order of nature\u201d. In 2018 Homosexuality was decriminalized in India becoming a ray of<\/em><br \/>\n<em>sunshine for the people in this community.
